I was transferred to Romford Queen's Neurological Department Sahara B ward from Basildon hospital on 31th January 2014 after a brain CT scan and operated next day to drain blood from my head which had accumulated as a result of a fall. The treatment I received was brilliant at all levels. The Registrar did an excellent operation with two bore holes drilled to my skull. Before the operation he throuhgly explained about the operation he was going to perform, He kindly answered all the questions I addressed to him. . The Anaesthetist was also brillant and cleary explained the procedures before injecting me with anaesthetic.. The nurses and carers also took great care of me. I am lost for words as to how to thank all the staff. My only observation was that I was not seen by my consultant, however with the excellent medical team that is under his control, I guess this was not essential.
