"The Eye Unit"

About: Royal United Hospital

I was seen first on Dec 3 and my condition explained clearly as it was not a straight forward condition and risk factors had to be consiered, I cofirmed by phone later that I wished to proceed and went to the eye unit on 13 Jan 2014, only 6 weeks later, where my right eye was treated. The day after I had an exelent result but sadly a slight deterior followed 2 weeks later and at O P review I was given futhur treatmen.t. At all stages I was treated with kindness and consideration by staff at all levels and at no point was my age (85) held against me. This was much the same experience as my wife had when her gallstones were removed last spring..efficient care, dlivered with support and consideration

Thank you for your comments about the Eye Unit. We are happy that your visit to the eye unit was successful one and continue to wish you well for the future. We will forward on your comments to the nursing staff whom I'm sure will be very grateful for your kind words.
