"Zero people skills!"

About: Cumberland Infirmary

My daughter is currently an outpatient, but after attending AandE today for a different matter the likely hood of her returning to that hospital is pretty unlikely! A complaint will be made against a member of staff once my call is returned about the manner in which we were spoke to and the way we were made to feel!

Dear Claire, We are really sorry to hear about your daughter's recent experience in A&E at what must have been a worrying time for you both - we hope she is recovering well now? Thank you for taking the time to get in touch and share your concerns with us. We would clearly like to learn more about what happened in A&E and would welcome you to get in touch with our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) team at the Cumberland Infirmary to explain your experience in more detail. You can reach the PALS team on 01228 814008 between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday, or by sending us an email to PALSCIC@ncuh.nhs.uk. I notice that your daughter is currently an outpatient with us and we hope this hasn't caused either you or your daughetr to lose confidence in the quality of care our teams are providing to you. Please do get in touch with us via the PALS office as soon as possible so that we can ease your concerns.
