About: Colchester General Hospital

"Do not use this hospital" if somewhere else is available. I had major surgery here & was in the Great Tey Ward Food yuk.Care worse,to many staff from away lands, not fully understanding or communicating very well for your needs, operation went well seems the surgeon was excellent, catering lady on ward i personally wouldn't let her work their if it was unpaid voluntary work, I get the impression the other staff know what she`s like but no-one says anything. I felt I just needed to go home. When home I contacted PALS the people you complain to about your Hospital stay. unfortunately it seems they are struggling to do their jobs as well, I have a letter from them saying I would have answers to my poor treatment whilst in the hospital by 7 Nov 2013 It`s now 14 Feb 2014 over 3 months past their own deadline. Seem they don't care & so it go`s on. Having an operation here ? Think very carefully
