"Tonsillectomy"

About: Queen Elizabeth I I Hospital (Welwyn Garden City)

I just wanted to thank all the wonderful staff in Queens Wing for their exemplary care of my daughter last September The team worked wonderfully together and were kind, patient and considerate with my very anxious teenage daughter.I was very sorry to hear that this wonderful day case centre was due to close. Why ruin something that is working so well? My daughter needed to be transferred to the paediatric ward at the Lister and the staff there were less experienced and not so good at anticipating needs.

Thanks for letting us know about your experience of the care the QEII's Queens wing team gave to you and your daughter last September - ever since we brought together all children's day surgery in to one single unit, praise from our patients and their families has been the order of the day. And the even better news is that the unit is not closing down, but will just be moving to a new specialist home being built for it at the Lister - so the same high quality, dedicated care for children will continue to be the order of the day.
