"Stay oin critical care k floor"

Just a few observations 1. There are staff on the ward who are incredibly compassionate, however younger staff lack this, and it affected my dignity, and I didn't feel like I was listened to. 2. The medical staff are amazingly talented and involved me 100% in my care. Thank you for giving me my life back. 3. The staff seemed very keen to fill their faces on patients food, and helped themselves before patients could get it. It was very unprofessional to witness their lies to patients that food they wanted was not available because staff wanted it. 4. Some staff nurses withheld my pain relief because they 'thought' I wasn't in pain. I was upset on several occasions and was scared to go through the day in agony. In general too many young staff, younger staff nurses lack compassion and empathy to the detriment of patients dignity and basic care needs. Senior sisters/ charge nurses need a medal. Incredible human beings, however they should take care not to uphold younger staffs behaviours on occasions.
