"Three hospitals"

About: Castle Hill Hospital County Hospital Louth Diana, Princess Of Wales Hospital

(as a relative),

My wife had a couple of heart attacks, which culminated in a serious heart operation. First diagnosed in Louth County hospital where we have nothing but praise for the service, cleanliness, food excellent, staff superb.

Onto Grimsby Princess Diana Hospital: Clinical Service excellent, Staff less pleasant, Food not so good, Cleanliness not top notch.

Onto Hull Castle Hill, this was where the operation was done. Facilities Poor, Cleanliness poor, she caught the dreaded MRSA. Staff a mixed bag: some very good, some poor. Food AWFUL.

But some redemption: My wife is alive, due to the excellent service of a very dedicated surgeon and excellent intensive care care treatment

Dear Briang,

Please accept our apologies for the delay in responding to the opinion posted on this website some time ago. This opinion was posted before our formal involvement with Patient Opinion but we should have picked this up sooner.

It is difficult to investigate the concerns you raised, partially because of the time lapse but also because we would need more detail.

I have asked our colleagues at Hull and East Yorkshire Hospitals to look into the points you make and we will ensure their comments are placed on the website within the next couple of weeks.

In the meantime if you would like to make more direct contact, please speak to their Patient Advice & Liaison Service on 01482 623065, who would be happy to help in any way they can.
