Whilst out on a walk my husband started to get pains in his chest, it felt as if his chest was being squeezed. When we got home I called 999 for an ambulance, it came within 3-4 minutes and took us to the Cheltenham A&E department. During this time the pain had moved and was now into his stomach, an examination showed that he was having problems with his gall bladder and not his heart as I had feared.
The staff in the A&E department were excellent as were Vicky and Bob, the ambulance crew who took us to the hospital. They were both very friendly and chatty and stopped me from worrying. Vicky in particular was very efficient.
"Ambulance crew and A&E department were excellent"
