"A distressing experience for a disabled patient."

About: Royal Liverpool University Dental Hospital

My disabled husband is still in pieces after a visit to the Dental Hospital this afternoon. The student was helpful and friendly and was ready to treat him, but was overruled by a very arrogant and insensitive clinical tutor (funny-I don't think this is the first comment of this sort I've seen on here). No consideration was given to my husband's brain injury and he was told that he would have to be referred to the special treatment clinic downstairs via his dentist and yet there would still be no guarantee of treatment! The tutor didn't even examine him. When he tried to register a formal complaint on his way out, the staff at reception were dismissive and unhelpful. A full and formal letter of complaint is in the pipeline!
