"I’m now awaiting to go to my appointment next week"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as the patient),

I went to see my doctor at the Charlton Medical Practice in Oakengates about a problem with my night shoulder.

After a quick examination he informed me that I required some physiotherapy on my shoulder and he would arrange this through TRAQS.

About a week later I received a phone call to arrange this. The lady informed me that it would be at least a couple of weeks before I could have an appointment.

She told me that I could visit either the Stirchley Medical Practice or the PRH. I chose the PRH as I live near it.

She discussed a suitable date and time to suit me and sent the appointment information in the post.

I’m now awaiting to go to my appointment next week.

Thank you for completing the Patient Opinion form.

It is pleasing to note that you were informed of how your referral would be managed by TRAQS and that you were contacted promptly.

You mention that you were offered a choice of appointment at either Stirchley Medical Practice or PRH. However, the former does not offer physiotherapy treatment; the choices offered to you should have been Maddocks Physiotherapy Clinic (Madeley) or PRH.

Nevertheless, I am pleased that a suitable date and time was agreed by yourself and I hope that you will feel the benefit in due course.
