"Endoscopy Unit"

. I was generally very happy with the way I was treated at the unit this afternoon. My only area of slight dissatisfaction was that no one was available on reception and I had to wait for several minutes for someone to appear., After that I waited for about 45 minutes. The member of staff who came to greet me and take me throught the first part of the procedure was charming and made me feel entirely at ease. He explained the procedure very clearly and thoroughly, He inserted the canula very deftly The nurse who came to go throught the consent form was very kind and friendly and seemed genuinely interested in me as a person. The consultant, and his team who actually carried out the procedure were all very gentle and caring. It was a lot less unpleasant than I had anticipated. I was treated with kindness and respect in the recovery room and the results of the test were explained before I was discharged
