"Very pleased that this service is available locally"

About: Tiverton and District Hospital / Minor injury unit

(as a parent/guardian),

My son hurt his arm falling over so we went to Tiverton MIU. We were seen after waiting for a short time, sent for an Xray (where a fracture was found) and bandaged up with an appointment for the fracture clinic all in less than 1. 5hrs. Far far quicker than if we had gone to the RD&E hospital down the road.

Fracture clinic was also held in the MIU a few days later and the system was similarly streamlined - in and out after a consultant review in around an hour.

Very pleased that this service is available locally.

Dear Relative

Thank you for taking the time to post your comments on the website.

I was very pleased to note your son was seen so quickly at the Tiverton MIU, and totally agree as to how lucky we are to have such an efficient local MIU available.

I have shared your very kind comments with the MIU manager, and fracture clinic manager, where I know they will be warmly recieved.

I hope your son's fracture is now well on the way to recovering.

Jayne
