Hello, I've been plagued by incredibly annoying and very numerous floaters now for about 2 and a half years. I've had one or two other problems such as Branch Retinal Vein Occlusion, diagnosed last January (2013) to which I had the Avastin injection, which did help it greatly I must admit so thank you v much for that BEH, & quite regular visitor/patient last year at the BEH, and years ago Corn Graft for Keratoconous in lft eye. I've been about 3 times to A & E, when I've had v worrying flashes and numerous eye floaters in recent times, and when I've gone to A & E at the BEH my main annoyance is the vast and spirit breaking wait to which last time was 5 and a quarter hours, to see a consultant for about 10 mins, to which I believe (Was told by staff) at the time there were only two consultants in A & E during that period? Would it not be better all round experience for everyone to have more than just 2 consultants considering the dozens perhaps in the hundred coming in on that day to be seen? Everybody, patients and staff would be a lot happier. But my main 'cross to carry' as I call it is these incredibly annoying and numerous eye floaters/cobwebs/strings in both eyes (In central vision paricularly) which affect my work, anything brightish, skies, light backgrounds, computer usage etc., the list is endless. When I mention this at the hospital to the consultants about how to get rid of them so that I can live in peace I don't get any real reply back/advice/information, nor help to get rid of them? They don't go away over time, believe me, the condition I have, they get worse....by the month.
