I was brought to A&E with an episode of SVT. The paramedic and ambulance arrived extremely quickly, and treated me with professionalism and kindness. When we got to the hospital I was taken straight to resus where I was assessed again, very rapidly, by a senior nurse. Then the doctor arrived, and my wife was able to tell him which drug I had been treated with successfully after a similar episode two years ago. He checked my records, administered the drug, and then explained that I would need to be monitored to ensure my heart rate and blood pressure returned to normal. Over the next couple of hours different members of the team, nurses and doctors, kept an eye on my progress until I was ready to go home. Throughout I was treated with respect and kindness.
