"Purse missing"

About: Gloucestershire Royal Hospital

My Mother was recently in ward 4A where the staff were great with her, but her purse containing £10 plus her jewelry went missing. As they were closed for Norovirus at the time, we are not sure when it disappeared. Patients should be told that they do not need any cash and not to hold valuables in there handbags. I informed Doctor and Nurses but they did not come back to us.

Hello there, We're very sorry to hear about this - have you spoken to our PALS team? They can take a few more details and will be able to look into this for you and your mother. You can call them on 0800 019 3282 or via email pals.gloucestershirehospitals@glos.nhs.uk. We share advice on our website about what to bring and what to leave at home when you're coming into hospital, which might be useful for future reference: http://www.gloshospitals.nhs.uk/en/Patients-and-Visitors/Coming-into-Hospital/Keeping-you-safe-during-your-stay--2/ Thanks for getting in touch and we wish your mother all the best with her recovery. Kind regards The team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
