About: Westmorland General Hospital

I would like to thank all the medical team that attended to my dad on 03/02/14 evening after he had another fall. The whole team involved including the paramedics, nurses and Consultant worked together and treated my dad with the highest standard of care, understanding and dignity. They listened to my concerns regarding all my fathers medical issues and took on board my input and recommended a course of action that was best for him in the immediate instance but also what the best course of action was from that point forward. Unfortunately he had to go to Lancaster Royal Infirmary for an MRI scan that night which I hasten to add the RLI, didn`t scan him and ignired all of the Consultant`s recommendations. My father has spent the last month between Westmorland General and RLI and I have nothing but praise for WGH staff and care delivered. Sadly I can`t say the same for RLI. WHG staff and their commitment to quality care sets the standard which other hospitals should strive to reach
