I was told to be at the unit by 7.30am which I arrived at 7.15am once booked in I was told to sit and wait fair enough was called by anesatist who went over details then had to wait was then called by doctor to go over paperwork then sat and waited then called by nurse to do obs thensat back in waiting room and waited after 4 hrs was told no beds had to wait still , at 12pm I had to get nurses attention to ask what was happening who then went to find out was told to go into cubicle get changed and sit on trolley as no beds which I find terrible . went in to surgery, after recovery was wheeled to side room and left on trolley. still no bed s by this time, I was very uncomfortable sitting on trolley . Had all obs taken again given a slice of toast and tea and left and after 2 hours canular was removed and I was told I could leave . My experience was not good when you need surgery you don't expect to have to wait hours and then told no beds you ex should be comfortable on a bed , not put on a trolley wheeled to surgery and then left on a trolley until discharged. very uncomfortable experience one I would repeat . Anyone going there be warned you could be left waiting many hours and be left on a trolley my 2nd visit there and neither were good .
