I went into the L&D with a perforated appendix in November 2013. I had visited A&E with my baby a few years earlier on a Saturday night and was not keen to repeat the experience. However, I was well looked after, the staff and nursing care was excellent and I have changed my view of L&D for the better and am extremely grateful that I was operated on swiftly and successfully .
