"The staff that work in maternity unit are so rude!"

About: Leicester Royal Infirmary

I had my 12 week scan today and have been left so angry with my experience. first of all I went up to the desk in the scans department to be told quite bluntly by the receptionist that I had apparently cancelled my scan...news to me! I then insisted to the rude lady that obviously someone had made a mistake. she told me to take a seat in the waiting room where I was called in by the most miserable sonographer ever. After expressing my fears to her she had an abrupt response to every questiion I asked. All the staff made me feel like I was putting them out and making them more work. Arent they meant to work in the care sector?

Dear Jasmine We are truly sorry to learn of your experience of Leicester’s Hospitals. We absolutely aim to make sure that our patients feel valued and very sadly it appears that this wasn’t the case. Please be assured that your comments will be acted upon and fed back to all staff concerned. To help us do this could you provide me with your name and when you attended our maternity service? - my email address is elaine.broughton@uhl-tr.nhs.uk. I hope to hear from you soon - thank you for taking the time to provide your comments. Sincerely, Elaine Broughton Acting Head of Midwifery & Lead Nurse, Leicester’s Hospitals
