"Sensitive care at a very difficult time"

About: Scarborough General Hospital

My brother was admitted to hospital with stage 3 cjrrhosis of the liver, caused by many years of heavy drinking. He was assessed on A&E and then in Cherry Ward before spending time on both the CCU and Chestnut Ward. Unfortunately, he did not respond to treatment and has since died, but all possible efforts were made to save him and he was very well cared for. The staff were non judgemental and sensitive and I was kept informed at all times. This helped us at a very distressing time.
