Just got back from UHSM (Wythenshawe) , Endoscopy Unit. What for you might ask, cameras I reply to take a peek at my insides. Top and tail you might say. I was fully advised what the procedure entailed right from the word go including what I must do the day prior to the procedure. Whilst the actual procedure is not what one would wish to repeat on account of me being well out of my comfort zone the staff in the unit were amazing to a person. They asked lots of relevant questions re health as to be expected and thoroughly explained the procedure to both myself and a very intelligent and pretty student nurse who was to follow me around. At every stage the patient was numero uno, at all times my comfort and welfare was of the utmost importance. If I wished to have a rest the that was taken care of, pain relief was always available if required. Not a very nice procedure but a very big thank you to all the staff working in the Endoscopy Unit, you get 10 out of 10 from me. P.s It would appear that everything is fine just a couple of very minor things which are of no concern.
"Endoscopy Unit the ins and outs!"
