Don't bother trying to park at Alder Hey because you can't. There is a criminal lack of parking space. The children are already under stress without having the nightmare of trying to park. We spent nearly an hour and we're nearly late for our appointment. My daughter needed to go to xray and we had to wait nearly an hour. There appeared to be just one xray machine for the whole hospital with parents complaining about the amount of time waiting. Next she had to go and have her bloods done. Again another hour wait with two of the staff painfully slow in taking bloods and the waiting area standing room only. However one staff member did show how it could be done and processed 4 people in the time it took the other's to do one. The people in charge should be ashamed of themselves for this, a hospital where they deliberately stress people out before you get in. Then there is a chronic lack of facilities and staff. The staff that don't seem to care about the poor people waiting. This is a specialist children's hospital where they don't care about the children. Shocking and a disgrace.
