"Sent in for emergency scan by gp due to suspected..."

About: Cheltenham General Hospital

GP Sent my partner to A&E with a letter requesting imediate scan due to suspected stroke. Waited 6 hours to then be told by the recepionist. we are not priority, the wait will be another 2-4 hours so best to go home. All the drunk people had priority over us, Our GP was furious so sent us to Gloucester royal who kept my partner in a room on his own with no tv for 4 days, they then said all mri department staff were of sick and sent him home. GP then sent my partner for a private scan. The outcome was he has ME.

Dear Nichole, Many thanks for taking the time to get in touch to share this feedback with us. We're sorry to hear that your partner had a poor experience of our services in the emergency department. We'd like to look into this further but in order to do that we'd need to get a few more details. Would it be possible for either yourself or your partner to contact our PALS team on 0800 019 3282 or by emailing pals.gloucestershirehospitals@glos.nhs.uk Many thanks again for your comments. Best wishes The team at Gloucestershire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust
