"Good care made a short stay easier"

About: The Royal Liverpool University Hospital

(as the patient),

Was admitted to Liverpool Royal from the walk in centre in town because of pain in my stomach. I was not allowed to eat in case I ended up needing surgery and counting the tiles on the ceiling gets old fast. The staff were all very kind and helped lessen the monotony of waiting on various doctors. Examples of this would be the catering staff offering to come back at the end of their shift to bring food if the doctors changed their mind about allowing me to eat and the nursing assistants kept us updated with a running commentary of the football scores every time they passed through. When I was discharged I went looking for a friend of mine who was on another ward so one of the care assistants showed me the way through to the main hospital. Overall the standard of care I received from the people who looked after me meant they my short stay in hospital was made a lot easier.
