I have had two babies at the L and D. First in midwife led unit - a brilliant experience, calm confident midwife and good balance of monitoring and time as a family. Birthing pool was clean, well set up and a good birth option. Second baby was early and born on the main unit. An amazing midwife and great healthcare assistants there throughout. When baby had problems after birth thd care was rapid and superb. Time in the NICU showed the investment in experienced staff and new equipment at the L and D. In a crisis you could not be in a better hospital for the experience and expertise of staff,
