What I liked

The ward was well managed by an excellent manager, the staff were very helpful at all times,considerate and caring they carried on like this when the manager was on duty or not.

What could be improved

There is only one working shower and one bath to a full 28 bedded ward. The older ladies preferred a bath but some had to use the shower they were slower and this caused an hold up. There is another shower in the bathroom but can not be used as there is no privacy/shower curtain and also no privacy for the person using the bath.

Anything else?

The only working shower got broken, this was reported to the estates but a week and half later still had not been fixed. It was reported by me, and staff on the ward. when they close the ward to fix the floor could the bathroom shower area be made into a cubicle to ease the hold up of patients having a shower. The staff and patients deserve it.
