"Paediatrics"

About: Warwick Hospital

My daughter was referred to see a Paediatrician last year. She is extremely anxious about any medical appointment. Our appointment ran well on time which was great, not adding to unnecessary stress. The Pediatrician then sent her down to the medical measurements team. The staff could see that she was visibly distressed and the lady who dealt with her was fantastic, reassuring her and even given her a little hug at one point to calm her down. After another appointment with the Paediatrician we were then referred to see the doctor, a Cardiologist. Again appointments all ran on time and he explained things very clearly and simply to our daughter, putting her at as much ease as he could. She had her heart scanned, which again he explained about what would happen. Following this appointment he requested she come back in a few months to have another ECG as he was being cautious about her results. We attended her appointment yesterday, again we did not have to wait for more than a couple of minutes to see the doctor, the ECG staff were great and are we are very relieved to now be discharged as things seem ok. We would like to thanks all of the staff for their kind, reassuring manner in what has been a pretty worrying time to say the least. Although it has felt like a long year, we appreciate the speed at which things have moved.

Thank you very much for your kind comments, I will ensure they are passed on to the teams involved with your daughter's care. I am really pleased to hear that your daughter has now been discharged.
