"Time is valuable - pre-op surgical assessments in Sheffield"

Overall i felt my operation was professionally handled and so far successful, but i have a suggestion.

Why did i need to be assessed twice for a simple lump/piece of grissle removed from my forearm. The whole pre op assessment was labourious and very time consuming on my part. Why waste my time being seen by my local GP if i have to have the exact same two minute assessment at the hospital before i can see an actual surgeon. One or the other should do. I feel each situation should be treated individually and some basic common sense wouldn't go amiss.
