"I felt respected as a person but this contrasted other care"

About: Royal Blackburn Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as the patient),

Following a difficult couple of weeks, I self harmed, Upon arriving at A&E at the royal Blackburn the staff was so professional and I felt respected as a person. However this is contrasted with poor professionals at my local mental health services - the team that's. supposed to help with such difficulties.

Thank you for your feedback from your visit to the Emergency Department. I am pleased that your experience met the standards that we expect at the hospital, and I’ll ensure that your kind words are relayed to the Emergency Department. We strive to improve our services and feedback, both positive and negative, enables us to understand where we get things right and where we need to improve, so once again thanks for taking the time to comment on your visit.

Ostensibly, I am happy that the staff at the A&E department will receive the recognition for maintained high standards.

However, this piecemeal response does not address the lack of professionalism by the complex care and treatment team, but then again this is what Lancashire care is good at - as evidenced by the foundation trust being placed in special measures.
