What I liked

The Hospital was clean and tidy with very helpful and friendly staff. This Hospital should be used more as the facilities are under used. This would benefit the people of the Consett area as the population is growing fast. And this would take the pressure off the University Hospital at Durham, as it is always busy and cannot cope with the demands of such a large area.

What could be improved

Utilize the good facilities of this Hospital more. As the University Hospital has to cancel operations and appointments that Shotley Bridge can be used for.

Anything else?

The University Hospital is a good hospital but every time you go there it is always busy, and the staff should be given a chance to do what they were trained for, without being under pressure, as it is a demanding job that I could not do. This will benefit all patients in the area of Durham County.
