About: Royal Bolton Hospital

I went a A&E the first week of November 2013 I was taken to C ward for the night the fallowing morning i watched a lady having what i would said was fitting i had to get out of bed to get a nurse were everyone came and worked on her for more than a hour before they took her to ICU i was still they for a few hours before they took me to CCU were my say was ok I was told I had had a heart attack that's was on a Thursday I wasn't taken to wythinshaw for my angiogram till the Monday morning & after my visit to there I was taken back to CCU at bolton at around 3am Tuesday morning I was take back to C ward when I was pushed in the ward in my chair I say I'm not staying here its smells of wee and I feel like I'm in a Morg I'm in my late 40's not a elderly lady as I felt they all were not very nice at all and I now feel that if I have another do like I did I would not want to go on that ward in fact I would go at all that's not what I expected at all think bolton should get the age groups on there wards right not a pleasant stay a all

We are pleased to hear that you are recovering from your heart attack and recognise what a stressful time this must have been for you. We acknowledge that you had to wait a couple of days to be transferred to Wythenshawe Hospital for treatment, however it is usual to wait between one and four days to transfer to the main heart centres for treatment as they accept patient from across the North West. We were sorry to hear you that you had a negative experience on your return and that you felt the ward smelt unpleasant. We would be happy to deal with your concerns on an individual basis and would ask you to contact the PALS Team on 01204 390193 so that your concerns can be dealt with.
