"ER - treatment for back pain"

About: Northern General Hospital

My husband was brought in by ambulance. The ambulance crew were fantastic but it went down hill when we got to the hospital. We waited in a cubical for 40 mins and he really needed the toilet but he couldn't move and there was no staff to ask. Eventually a doctor came and I explained that he needed the toilet she said Ive got the wrong patient and worked off. When a doctor came they started to talk to my husband who told them he was deaf, so she repeated the conversation at the same speed and voice. After 3 times I intervened and explained- deaf awareness!!!! The whole time we felt in the way and auncomfortable. The worst ER I attended. To top it all the tablets they gave had no affect so eventually we called out our doctor who was brilliant.
