"Operation and A&E visit."

About: Hull Royal Infirmary

This review is not because the hospital staff we at fault. I fully understand and respect that they have a lack of staff and have had major cutbacks, therefore we simply felt like we were not in a first world hospital. I am sorry to have to say this but it was a shambles. The wait to be seen due to lack of staff, the x-ray waiting 2 hours late. Then the very long wait for call backs to confirm the operation of which we had 3 last minute postponements. Eventually having to phone each day because staff had no time we assume to call us back or even call when we were told they would call us. Waiting for the operation had me in pain and unable to work. I am hoping the government gets this right in the future. Right now we go in and sit and wait and sit and wait. We hope we do not have an accident again soon that is for sure. Many thanks to the hospital and staff for doing there very best under impossible conditions imposed by the cutbacks.
