"TRAQS did not have the correct information about my treatment"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

My doctor and consultant suggested Oswestry or Stoke and recommended Stoke. Neither of these was on the list when I was contacted by TRAQS.

This was because TRAQS did not have the correct information about my treatment. When I was contacted later, I was offered Oswestry. I was told I could only go to Stoke if I went privately.

I thought the whole thing was a total shambles.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are sorry to hear you felt that our service did not meet your expectations.

When phoning to arrange your appointment, we would have offered a range of providers/hospitals closest to you. When an allocated hospital or clinician is named on your referral letter, TRAQS will always honour this. I assume that you were not offered these hospitals specifically as your GP had failed to request them in your referral letter. Therefore, a choice oh hospitals closest to you was offered.
