"Fabulous care and support in maternity unit"

I received care from the staff at Lister Maternity Unit from 8th - 12th January 14 which was first class. I experienced care in the MLU when my waters broke, Dacre ward during early induction, CLU during induction and emergency c-section and Gloucester ward after the birth of my daughter. Although my experience of labour was my ''worst case scenario', the staff at Lister made me feel safe, well informed and supported from the moment I came in. I cannot fault the care provided and the dedication of the hardworking staff. In particular, when there were problems with my induction staff were on hand within seconds and I was monitored closely. I felt so reassured. The staff in theatre during my c-section made me feel as relaxed as possible and I had every confidence in them. I was incredibly impressed with the work of all staff on the wards. Despite the fact that they were full and busy, they showed great kindness and patience throughout my further three night stay. From the midwives, to the breast feeding support workers to the lady who delivers the tea - all were fantastic. I am so very grateful to all who helped us get through. Thank you!
