About: North Tyneside General Hospital

I was transfered from Wandsbeck hospital to Rakelane, as I had an emergency operation on my perforated small intestine, having had a gastric by pass 6 weeks earlier. I can honestly say that from the top to the bottom of the rung of people looking after me, I had the best care ever. Everyone was absolutely fantastic. Day staff or night staff. I am very very gratefull to all staff. Everyone worked so hard, I dont know how they do it. Thank you everyone! Kind regards, Monika Dempster

Dear Monika, You have certainly had a pretty tough time over the last couple of months - I do hope you are feeling a lot better now. Thank you so much for your very kind and thoughtful reflections on the care you received from the surgery team. I am delighted that every one you came in to contact with reinforced the high standards and expectations we have of patient care and how it should be delivered. Our staff do work incredibly hard and everyone will be really chuffed to hear how much you appreciated their efforts. Please take very good care of yourself and thanks again for sharing your story.
