My husband was admitted early hours of Monday morning, after having a cardiac arrest. His treatment was immediate and thoroughly explained to me. The nurses could not have been kinder. My only little 1 niggle was that I think just 48 hours in recovery is too short. Within a few hours of returning home he was suffering chest pains again and had to be taken back by ambulance to A & E. .All was OK BUT I feel 72 hours would be better in recovery after a cardiac arrest.. It's a very frightening experience and there is no nursing experience usually available when the patient returns home.
