in October 2013 I had shoulder surgery for calcification on the tendon. It was getting increasingly painful with movement restricted and the consultant surgeon operated by shaving away part of the shoulder blade. A few weeks later & after physio I was getting more pain, it became apparent that it was inflammation after the surgery. The consultant arranged a quick appointment for an xray guided painkilling injection. I was made aware that inflammation can take 12 months after surgery to calm down. It started to cause more pain a few weeks later and he promptly arranged for the painkilling injections again. I have nothing but praise for the consultant & his team, they are totally professional & caring and a credit to Stafford Hospital.
