About: East Surrey Hospital / Accident and emergency East Surrey Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

I presented at A&E and was very happy with my care. I required non emergency surgery and was booked in for the procedure in 12 days time.

The night before I was due to go for surgery I was phoned and told it had been cancelled. No one called me back to rearrange.

I had to call and chase a new date.

I am sorry to hear that your operation had to be cancelled and that no-one contacted you with a new date.
