"Thanks you for helping my choking husband"

About: Musgrove Park Hospital / Accident and emergency South Western Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust

(as a relative),

I wanted to thank the 999 lady on the phone who talked me through saving my husband who choked on bacon and stopped breathing for goodness knows how long. Her instructions are the reason he is still with me.

So much gratitude too for the paramedic team who came as soon as they possibly could and monitored him then took him to Musgrove. I can't give enough praise to this arm of the NHS and I really hope that this thank you gets to the people who were so instrumental in helping to save him.

Many, many thanks.

Dear Joy Hope

Thank you so much for thaking the time to share your story. I hope your husband is feeling much better, and that you are both recovering from this frightening incident!

It is always rewarding to hear that our staff are continuing to provide excellent care to our patients and their families when they need us most.

I would like to be able to pass on your kind comments to the call taker and ambulance crew who helped you and your husband on 8th January. In order to do this I will need to know the address to which the ambulance was called. Could you please contact me, at your convenience, on 01329 453831 or email laura.martin@swast.nhs.uk?

Thank you again for sharing your experience of our service.

Kind regards

Laura
