I was admitted to ward C5 on Tuesday 14th January for a procedure in the treatment of cancer. At the desk on the ward I was greeted by a nursing sister who asked if I needed anything to eat, did I need any help, to let her know if there was anything I needed. My daughter and my partner helped me to 'settle in', and we were all given a cup of tea. Later that day Iwas prepared for the procedure which was scheduled for the next afternoon, at this point please let me say that the nurses on this ward treated me with extreme kindness and gentleness and all with a sense of humour, I felt totally reassured and comfortable. My procedure was carried out on the 15th as scheduled, again with consideration and professionalism.and with the minimum of discomfort and pain. I was returned to the ward where I was monitored and cared for until my discharge on Thursday 16th. Many thanks ladies and gents of ward C5, and to the professionals who carried out my procedure
