"To have a capable and supportive friend is beyond price"

About: Community Nursing Services / Ashfield Community Nursing

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

My husband has been in the care of Community Matrons for several years. He is now 94 and rather frail. Over the years the support, both physically and mentally, of these dedicated ladies have given us both a quality of life we may not otherwise have had. Elderly people can feel anxious and vulnerable when ill health strikes and need the reassurance these ladies give. The added bonus is that over the years a real friendship has developed. Old age can be a challenge and rather daunting in itself and to have a capable and supportive friend is beyond price.

Thankyou so much for your kind comments regarding the Community matrons. their role is to support people with long term conditions in the community to ensure that people's health and well-being are maintained and encouraged, so I am pleased that you have received a good service, and Thankyou for your comments. It is much appreciated.
