"Emergency orthopaedic treatment"

About: Hereford County Hospital

I am writing to thank you for the treatment I received in your hospital A and E department.I was on holiday in Knighton and on 22nd November I fell in the holiday cottage and badly fractured my wrist. We arrived at Hereford hospital at about 9.30 that evening. Although we had quite a wait, the treatment has been very effective and I have made a very good recovery. I would like to thank the orthopaedic surgeon who so skillfully manipulated my wrist into a good position at about 1.00am. I am sorry I do not remember his name. I have good flexibility and am well on the way to a good recovery having had my plaster removed last week. When the NHS is under such scrutiny, the least I could do is to thank you.

On behalf of the Wye Valley NHS Trust thank you for your kind comments in relation to your visit to our A/E Department in November last year. We will pass your comments on to the Manager of the Department in order that she can share with her staff. We are pleased that you are making a good recovery. Patient Experience Team
