"Refused repeat prescription at my parents' GP surgery"

I was visiting my sick parents in Leyton, London from Spalding, lincs, and forgot my medication. I have COPD and arthritis, I carry a repeat prescription and was refused help by my parents doctor at Peterhouse Surgery, Leytonstone.

I was told "we do not take emergency patients". If I had not been able to get my medication sent through the post by my husband I would have been seriously ill. I think it is outrageous that with a repeat script in my hand and a pre-payment card too that this man would not write me out a script for me to get my much needed drugs.
