"Fast track breast clinic and follow up surgery"

I was referred to the fast track breast clinic in October 2013 and after two mammograms, a scan and a biopsy all done on the same day, with results given to me on the same day, it was revealed that I had breast cancer. During November I had a mastectomy and an overnight stay on ward C4, followed by an operation in December to remove lymph nodes, also staying in C4. We found that the whole team were absolutely excellent in every way. They work very skilfully and compassionately under very difficult conditions in an extremely busy clinic. It has been a comforting experience to find that at a time of need the NHS can come up with such excellent treatment. Many thanks to the doctors, breast care and Macmillan nurses, ward nurses on C4.
