About: Cheltenham General Hospital

I have had 3 visits recently to CGH. First was a day Angigram in the Hartpury Suite of which I was very anxious in advance. The staff there were extremely professional and caring and kept me informed of what was happening at all times. The second was for the subsequent Angiplasty for which I went in to the Chedworth Day Ward overnight then got postponed due to several emergencies in the Hartpury Suite so stayed a 2nd night - I have absolutely no qualms about this, Had I been one of these emergencies I would have wanted to be treated immediately! The staff on Chedworth were also very kind and helpful and then on the third day I had my Angiplasty which despite again being anxious went off well and I then over nighted in the Cardiac Ward - again staff were very caring and professional. This week I went to West Block Outpatients for a routine blood test for which I waited about half an hour - but then my GP surgery had offered me a Phlebotomist appointment in three weeks time so I have no problem with this visit. All in All, I feel I have been very well cared for and the staff work very hard and sometimes extra long hours even beyond their shifts.
