I am booked in to have my baby at the RAH in July 2014 however I am stressed and worried due to a couple of things going wrong already. At our scan myself my partner and kids were in a lift with a midwife and a woman in a nightie in labour not sure id be happy if that was me.
I understand the place isnt very big however the midwife could have asked us to wait for the respect of the woman in full blown labour! Then I had complications with a threatened miscarriage and was put in a public ultrasound area bawling my eyes out in front of happy couples going for their normal scans! This is all minor and I didnt say a thing but it did get on my nerves a little it would just be common sense for privacy however on a more serious note...
I have two children already born at Queen Mums Glasgow, but was told this time at RAH I have Rhesus Negative blood type and would need Anti D injections. told by a midwife and Doctor during my 12 week scan never been told this before so I looked into it at home only to discover my old pregnancy notes say im A positive! ! ! ! So the RAH got my blood group mixed up.
When I called to query I was told oh dont worry a generated letter was sent by accident you are definitely A Positive! I replied no I never got told by letter I got told by both a midwife and a Doc at the hospital. Its ok dont worry about it its just a clerical mistake.
Im sorry but this is very alarming to me and I now have to move to a hospital further from my home for peace of mind. Maybe the delivery suite etc is different or maybe ive just been unlucky.
im not the type to make a fuss but this is different.
