My first miscarriage (at 6 weeks) landed me in FVRH.
I was told to go home and take a paracetamol. 4 months later, miscarriage number 2 was also dismissed as 'nothing' to worry about - no checks, no scan, no advice.
Miscarriage number 3 at 12 weeks, was dealt with better, and the staff on ward 6 were excellent.
Can't say the same about the info I was given. We were sent to EPAS (the wrong place) to wait for a scan. There was no-one there, and when we asked staff about this we were told to sit and wait. For 2. 5 hours. Eventually, we were taken to the correct place, where we were told that we'd missed our slot.
Having stood our ground, we were eventually seen, and I had a scan.
At no point did anyone offer support or advice about these 3 miscarriages, and I was never offered any kind of investigation.
I'm now pregnant again, and having already been given misinformation, no named midwife, and less information than I'd have received at other hospitals.
I've learned that there are NO ante-natal classes offered. I've now been sent a letter telling me that I've missed my 16 week appointment and will have to see my GP to re-book.
My appointment isn't for another week and a half.
Who is running this shambles? ?
