I broke my wrist very late on a Saturday night right before Christmas and thought that a trip to A&E and 1am was going to be horrific- it wasn't. The staff were all really friendly and didn't just assume that because it was late I was drunk. I went from reception to triage, x-rays, decision that it was broken and into plaster within 2 hours! It was so much quicker and a far more pleasant experience than I had expected.
