"My Care in Langdale South at Westmorland General in Kendal"

About: Westmorland General Hospital / General medicine

(as the patient),

I have re occurring cellulitis in my legs I also have lymphodoema and elaphantitis in my legs. When the infection sets in I have a problem not only with antibiotics but my blood thinners and I knew my stay was going to be a long one. Mainly rest and antibiotics plus daily visits from the doctors kept me informed all the time. The nursing care was faultless due to the running of a very tight ship by the ward manager/sister I always try and get admitted into this ward if beds are available when my legs flare. That's cause I know I will receive only the very best treatment and care. Nothing is too much trouble and reassurance is always there if needed. I have been admitted into another hospital in the area and have had a couple of very bad experiences but that's another story!
